Press Release
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) today released the following statement after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) vote to adopt open internet rules:
“In our digital age, equal and fair access to the Internet is critical to preserving free speech, encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship, and upholding the bedrock democratic principles of America,” said Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard. “The Internet is an open and dynamic forum that fuels innovation; it should never become a system with manipulated slow or fast lanes, or special treatment for the privileged few. Today’s ruling by the FCC is a positive step forward that will help ensure a level playing field for all, further advancing the free-flow of information.”
