Honolulu—This evening, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) delivered remarks at the Spirit of ’45 End of World War II Commemoration and Wreath Laying Ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl). She gave thanks to America’s “Greatest Generation” and spoke about how their service and sacrifice paved the way for future generations.  Video footage of Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard’s remarks will be available at this link later this evening.

“As a veteran of the post-9/11 generation, I know that I can speak for all of my brothers and sisters when I express how grateful we are to all of the World War II Veterans,” said Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, a twice deployed captain in the Hawai'i Army National Guard. “We are inspired by and marvel at your accomplishments, at your bravery, at your example, and we seek to emulate the high level of servant-leadership that you’ve set—not only in uniform, but throughout your lives. Thank you very much for your service.”
