PHOTOS: On Kauaʻi, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard Visits Anahola Hawaiian Homesteads and World’s Largest Solar Storage Facility

Anahola, HI—This afternoon on Kauaʻi, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) participated in a briefing and tour of Anahola Hawaiian Homestead land that is being used for residents, farming, businesses, and projects that benefit Native Hawaiians. She then joined in a roundtable discussion with Anahola Hawaiian Homestead Association board members, representatives from the Sovereign Council of Hawaiian Homelands Associations and the Homeland Community Development Council, and other community leaders to focus on the Homestead’s accomplishments and needs, and their people’s rights, future, and efforts to support food and energy security for their communities and the island.

In Lihue, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard visited the world’s largest solar storage facility and discussed with Kauaʻi Island Utility Cooperative board members and business leaders her work to support their contributions to helping Hawaiʻi reach its energy efficiency goals, and as a result, making the Aloha State a global leader in sustainable and renewable energy advancement.

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard just kicked off her sixth Town Hall in a series of seven meetings statewide at the Kauaʻi Veterans Center in Lihue.
