The Office of Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard offers internships in both our Washington, DC and Hawaiʻi offices throughout the fall, spring and summer semesters. Interns have the opportunity gain invaluable work experience assisting the day-to-day operations of a Congressional office, including researching legislation, responding to constituent letters and inquiries, attending legislative hearings and community events, supporting federal agency casework, and working on various other tasks and projects. Applicants should be well organized, have good oral and written communication skills and a positive attitude, and possess a strong interest in learning about the legislative process and congressional affairs. While all internships are unpaid, students may have the opportunity to gain course credit depending on the rules of their program.

For internship applications, the deadline will be three months before the term begins. Spring applications are due no late than October 15th, Summer applications are due February 15th, and Fall applications are due May 15th. Late applications will not be reviewed. Applicants are encouraged to reapply if not accepted for their preferred term.
