On Wednesday night, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and Hawaiʻi State House Representative Andria Tupola hosted a Town Hall meeting in Nanakuli to address long-standing transportation issues that affect residents of the Waianae Coast every single day. Farrington Highway is the only way in and out of the community, and time and time again, it has been partially or completely shut down due to accidents, severe weather, flooding, fires, and other emergency conditions.
Today on Oʻahu, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard attended the remembrance ceremony honoring the late Congressman Mark Takai, who laid in state at the Hawaiʻi State Capitol. Congressman Takai is one of just a few public servants who have lain in state at the Hawaiʻi Capitol, including Governor John A Burns, U.S. Senator Spark Matsunaga, U.S. Congresswoman Patsy Mink, U.S. Senator Hiram Fong, and U.S. Senator Daniel Inouye.

Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) joined the City and County of Honolulu and a coalition of federal, state, and local officials in recognizing the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Radiological Security with the first-ever Homeland Security Award. The ceremony recognized Maegan Barlow, the Director of the Office of Radiological Services (OSR) at DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), for OSR’s work to enhance the security of high-risk radioactive materials in Hawaiʻi over the past decade.
Wahiawā, HI—Today, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) welcomed in the new Wahiawā Center for Community Health (WCCH) at its Grand Opening Ceremony. The Congresswoman presented a Congressional certificate to Executive Director Bev Harbin and Board of Directors President Mary Talon recognizing the years of work that made today possible, and spoke about the important role that health centers across the state have in ensuring underserved communities have access to high quality, comprehensive care.
