This evening, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) participated in a panel on ‘Ethics in Politics’ sponsored by the University of Hawaiʻi William S. Richardson School of Law and Shidler College of Business. The panel explored various topics related to campaign finance reform, government ethics, money in politics, and more. The Congresswoman shared the panel with U.S. Senator Brian Schatz, State Senator Les Ihara, and Melissa Pavlicek.
Today on O‘ahu, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new MV-22 Hangar at Kāneʻohe Marine Corps Base (MCBH). The congresswoman spoke about her ongoing commitment to ensuring that U.S. servicemembers have the training, equipment, and supporting infrastructure they need to ensure readiness and complete their missions, and about her work to secure more than $200 million in military construction projects in Hawai‘i in FY17.
Washington, DC—Today, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) joined hundreds at the Old Town Alexandria Waterfront Park to welcome the Hōkūle’a as it came down the Potomac River to Washington, DC. The congresswoman toured the Hōkūle’a, welcomed the crew and all those present for the arrival ceremony, and enjoyed music and dance presented by local hālaus and the Piscataway Conoy Tribe of Maryland.
