Honolulu, HI—Today, the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation (HDOT) is receiving an award of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds through the CARES Act on behalf of Maui Bus. HDOT successfully completed its grant application and is now being awarded $7,864,323 in Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula funds.

Honolulu, HI—This week, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) announced that Hawai‘i will be receiving over $54 million in Title I, Part A federal aid for schools to help improve teaching and learning opportunities for at-risk students, especially those in low-income communities. The first round of funds will be dispersed in July with the remaining funds, as adjusted, becoming available in October.
