Yesterday on Oʻahu, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) addressed the 3rd Annual Native Hawaiian Organizations Association (NHOA) Business Summit Conference. The event focuses on legislative, legal and business issues relevant to small businesses in the federal contracting industry, and connects Native Hawaiian Organizations (NHOs), 8(a) certified companies, and other locally-owned businesses with Department of Defense (DoD) contracting officers and government representatives.
"Each year, the people of the Aloha State are proud to participate in the Vacations for Warriors program that provides an opportunity for our heroes and their families to enjoy a brief respite from the challenges of their daily lives. This year, we welcomed US Army Sergeant Joshua Revak, US Army Corporal Tyler Wilson, and their families to the beautiful Garden Island. Both Sergeant Revak and Corporal Wilson have gone beyond the call of duty, deploying to combat, putting their life on the line to serve our country.
"Yesterday kicked off the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s event on Kauai- one of many walks taking place in communities across the country. Each year, millions of people join this walk to raise awareness about the important need for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
