My heart is with the Takai ‘ohana - his parents Naomi and Erik, his wife Sami, and children Matthew, and Kaila - as we remember my friend, colleague, and fellow soldier, Mark Takai. Always ready with a smile and a deep belly laugh, Mark’s heart of aloha guided him throughout his life of service. Mahalo Mark for the lasting impact that you made with your life, for sharing your aloha with us, and for dedicating your life in the service of the people of Hawai‘i and our country."-TG
